Staff Spotlight: Meet our Facility Services Coordinator – Rebecca Featherstone

March 29, 2018 | The Villager | Reading Time 2:00 Minutes

Rebecca Featherstone joined the Friendship Village family in September 2014. She began working in her present position as the Facility Services Coordinator in 2015.  Her many duties include ordering supplies, paying bills, and anything else related to Facility Services.

Rebecca was born on February 5 as an early present for her mother’s birthday.  Her biological father was stationed at the Dover Air Force Base in Dover, Delaware.  Her mother later remarried and, as a gift to Rebecca, her stepfather adopted her. She took his last name, which made him very happy.  It is an old English name and there is even a Featherstone Castle in England.

Rebecca met her husband, Michael, on E-Harmony, and she felt it was divine intervention that brought them together.  Michael and Rebecca currently reside in Hickory Corners, north of Richland, along with their daughter, Mikayla.  Mikayla also worked for a short time as a server in our main dining room.  Mikayla is currently attending KVCC in Kalamazoo and plans to transfer in the fall to Kendall College of Art and Design.

Rebecca, originally from the Lansing area, graduated from Everett High School.  She enjoys crocheting and knitting as a hobby and wishes she had time to join the “Needlers” group.  She loves her job and finds us all delightful.

Rebecca is a real treasure, and we are all so happy to have the opportunity to work with you!
