Friendship Village Welcomes New Fitness Center Manager Alecia Dennis

With her sparkling smile and vivacious personality, Alecia Dennis has captured the hearts of Friendship Village’s residents in just the few short weeks since she arrived. Growing up in Marshall, Alecia graduated with a Bachelor of Exercise Science, Summa Cum Laude, from Olivet College. Having worked in a senior living community in high school, Alecia knew that is where she wanted her career to focus. Alecia applied for the Fitness Center Manager position through Friendship Village’s partner organization, National Institute for Fitness and Sport+, and knew she found her perfect fit.

Her passion is to make fitness fun and accessible to everyone – any age, any fitness level. She looks forward to bringing her own personal flair to future classes in our fitness center and new Aquatic Center (coming Spring 2019).

During her off time, Alecia loves to walk her dog, Ada, and hang out with her family and friends. Her favorite restaurant… her Mom’s house and the many family reunions, where the food is always authentic Mexican. Alecia’s most memorable trip was to Alaska, where she spent 3 weeks camping  (it was light 24/7 and she had to force herself to sleep!), and hopes to visit Italy and Ireland in the future.

We are so excited to welcome you, Alecia! We know you’re going to make a lasting impact on us all.
