Certified Nursing Assistant (3rd shift, part-time)

Friendship Village is looking for Certified Nurse Aides part-time on 3rd shift, epar-time. The Nurses Aide assists the licensed nursing staff by performing routine nursing duties and activities of daily living.

Essential Job Duties include:

  • Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
  • Gives treatments, performs tests, carries out procedures and collects specimens as instructed.
  • Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures and specimens when indicated.
  • Transfers, transports and escorts residents as needed.
  • Answers signal lights promptly.
  • Changes bed linens, makes beds and keeps rooms clean and orderly.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Successful completion of a State approved geriatric nursing assistant training program. Prior geriatric nursing aide experience is preferred. Must be currently certified or testing soon..
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively
Caregiver (full-time)

Friendship Village is searching for full time Caregiver on 1st shift in their Assisted Living setting.

The Caregiver assists the licensed nursing staff by performing routine nursing duties and assists residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, ambulating, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 17 years old. Prior geriatric care experience is preferred.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicates effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. Ability to document care given. Good assessment skills

Housekeeper

We are searching for full-time housekeeping staff on first shift (7a-3p) with one weekend requirement per month. Housekeeping is responsible for the cleanliness and neatness of assigned areas throughout the Village. Performs general housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, window washing, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Server/Wait Staff (Part-time)
Friendship Village is looking for part-time servers in their Food and Beverage Department. The server is responsible for table service in the Community Dining Rooms.

Essential Job Duties :

  • Sets tables and maintains work stations in proper order.
  • Takes orders, provides service and requested items both graciously and courteously.
  • Clears dishes from tables during and after meal service.
  • Answers pertinent questions about menu items.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
  • Experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant or club with fine dining preferred; will train.
  • Ability to interpret and explain menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understands requests.
  • Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers. Requires courtesy, tact and graciousness.
LPN/RN (part-time)

  • Supervises direct care of residents and nursing personnel on his/her shift.
  • Administers direct care as necessary.
  • Gives and receives shift reports.
  • Keeps physicians and families aware of changes in resident’s condition.
  • Updates Residents care plans as residents’ status change and physician orders dictate.

-Current LPN/RN licensure in the State of MI required,

-Experience working with geriatric populations preferred.

 

Cook
Friendship Village currently has an opening for a full-time cook with 8 hour shifts between the hours of 6am and 7pm. NO LATE NIGHTS ! The Cook is responsible for preparation of all food items per standardized recipes and production sheets.

Experience working in a skilled care setting with geriatric populations a plus.
