Harriet B. recently graduated from rehab at Friendship Village and has returned to her home. Harriet comes into Friendship Village twice a week for outpatient therapy in order to maintain the gains she has made here. After one of her therapy sessions she agreed to chat with us about her time at Friendship Village.

Q: What was your favorite part about completing your rehab at Friendship Village?

A: Oh my favorite part? There’s a whole lot of favorite parts! I enjoyed knowing I was getting good quality physical and occupational therapy, so I could feel more secure when I got home, and know that I could handle it.

Q: How have you been doing since you got home?

A: I’ve been doing real good, I’ve been taking things slow. I don’t want to do too much, I need to get outside and into the garden but I haven’t done that yet. I’m thinking about getting out there today.

Q: Harriet what would you want to tell other people who are considering rehabbing at Friendship Village?

A: I would most definitely recommend it. I would tell them it’s a good place to heal. You can come in and forget about whatever is going on at home and focus on getting well again. You don’t have to worry about what you’re going to cook or when you’re going to clean, you know it’s all getting done here.
