Our Leadership Team


We strive every day to make Friendship Village a recognized leader in senior living in Kalamazoo, Michigan and to create a community where people want to live, work and visit.

Tim has been Executive Director of Friendship Village since November of 2022. He previously served as Vice President/Senior Director of Operations Management for Life Care Services® for 10 years. The Illinois native earned his masters degree in Health Care Administration/Management from St. Louis University and is also a licensed nursing home administrator. Since 1988, Tim has worked exclusively for Life Care Services® at senior living communities in Arizona, California, Indiana, Missouri, Oregon and Oklahoma.

Kathy has been a licensed nursing home administrator in Michigan since 2012. As Administrator of Friendship Village, she ensures the highest quality of care for residents in assisted living, skilled nursing, short-term rehabilitation, and comprehensive care. Her responsibilities include overseeing Woodside, Health and Rehab Center teams. She is committed to delivering Medicare 5-Star service and care.

Joining our team in January of 2023 was a homecoming for David. In 2018 he served as an intern at the Village. The Grand Rapids native earned his degree in Healthcare Administration and Operations Management from Northwood University in Midland, Michigan. He is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) in Michigan and Florida and a Certified Director of Assisted Living in Florida. He has also served on the staff of Life Care Services® communities in Florida and Connecticut.

Ashley obtained her Associates in Nursing from Lake Superior State University in 2008. She joined Friendship Village in October of that year as an LPN at Woodside, our Assisted Living and Memory Care Community, where she worked for 5 years. In 2013, she accepted a position in our Independent Living community as Office Supervisor. In 2015, Ashley returned to Woodside as the Assistant Director of Woodside Resident Care and moved to the Director position in 2019.

Brandon joined the Friendship Village management team as Director of Facility Services in September 2016. He has nearly 30 years of facilities management experience, the last 16 in the senior living community setting. Most recently Brandon served as Building Engineer at Canterbury on the Lake (2006-2012) and Director of Plant Operations at Regency at Waterford (2012-2016), both located in Waterford, Michigan. Brandon excels at using proven methods and cutting-edge technology to successfully cut costs, streamline operations and increase productivity.

Diana became Director of Sales and Marketing in October 2018 after three years as the Director of Marketing for Friendship Village’s Woodside Community. Before that she spent seven years implementing a volunteer wellness and activities program for Ganton Senior Communities at which Reflections Memory Care achieved Gold Level status from the Michigan Center for Assisted Living (MCAL). She serve on the board of the Alzheimer’s Association’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee and chairs the Kalamazoo Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Diana is a U.S. Army veteran.

Ken oversees fundraising, life enrichment, transportation services, and our Fitness Center. His career progressed from journalism to advertising and marketing communications to sales. Ken has also worked in fund development with the American Cancer Society and with Senior Services of SW Michigan. He has been with Friendship Village since 2012.

Raegan started with Friendship Village in 2007 as a caregiver. In her current role, she is responsible for guiding residents while they get acclimated to living in The Village. She also oversees The Village Store, the beauty salon, and the nursing and caregiving staff for Independent Living.

Linda earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting from Siena Heights University in Adrian, Michigan. She has over 20 years of experience working in accounting and finance roles, including serving as the Senior Financial Analyst for Bronson At Home in Battle Creek, Michigan. Linda also brings expertise in strategic development and planning, process improvement and leadership.

Leisa has been in her Director role at Friendship Village since June of 2021. After starting her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse, she earned her Registered Nurse license from Kalamazoo Valley Community College in December 2001. Leisa has a wide range of experience, including work in assisted living, home care, long-term care and hospice settings. She also spent several years working at Bronson Methodist Hospital in the surgical, burn and trauma units. She brings to her position significant management and organizational skills.

Ryan joined Friendship Village in July 2020. He began working in the food service industry in his early teens, eventually becoming a General Manager at Applebee’s following college. After 12 years at Applebee’s, Ryan became a multi-unit manager for a growing company in Grand Rapids, Michigan where he continued to build teams and develop strong leaders. In this position, he assisted or directly oversaw the opening of three locations and eight acquisitions and oversaw multiple brands ranging from breakfast diners to upscale Gastropubs with extensive craft cocktail and farm to table food menus.

Stephanie is responsible for ensuring that qualified and responsive staff are recruited and trained for the services they provide to residents of Friendship Village. By creating a supportive and high-expectation environment, Stephanie assures that team members will meet resident expectations while offering opportunities for personal fulfillment and growth. She has more than 15 years of experience in human resources.

Teresa manages the front office, supervises the First Impressions reception team, educates staff on creating Extraordinary Impressions® and coordinates the Employee Extraordinary Impressions Rewards program. She also assists both the Executive Director and Board of Directors. Teresa also fosters relationships with local organizations and coordinates community connections for area colleges, universities, businesses and individuals. Teresa joined the Friendship Village staff in 2009 as a Life Enrichment Assistant.
