There’s no better place to make a very real difference in people’s lives than Friendship Village!
We Love Our Employees!
Our goal is to create a home-like, family atmosphere that leaves you feeling fulfilled and knowing that you’re making a difference in the lives of those you are serving. Our employees love it here, and they love to share their stories.
We’re proud to offer competitive wages and an excellent package of benefits that’s second to none!
Insurance Benefits:
We know that insurance benefits are a key consideration when choosing a place to work. At Friendship Village, we provide medical, dental and vision insurance for all full-time team members (30 scheduled hours a week makes you eligible for medical insurance). Plus, FLEX spending is available for employees who work 20 hours per week (sign-up occurs during open enrollment). We also provide free flu shots (mandatory) and Hepatitis B vaccines (optional). But our insurance benefits don’t stop at just health insurance. Full-time team members are also provided with life insurance and short-term disability coverage.
Retirement Benefits:
It’s never too soon to think about your retirement. We invite all employees who work 20 hours a week or more to participate in a 403b retirement savings plan—and Friendship Village provides company matching!
Vacation and Holidays
We know how important time off can be to help you rest, recharge and spend quality time with your family. At Friendship Village you begin accruing Personal Time each month that you work and separate Vacation Time is earned after one full year of employment. Our holidays include New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter Sunday and, yes, your birthday! Plus, if you work on a holiday, you’ll receive double-time pay plus a free holiday meal.
At Friendship Village you’ll enjoy a variety of fun employee events, activities, games, theme days and get-togethers sponsored by our Employee Activity Committee—the perfect opportunities to laugh, share, and have a great time with your fellow team members!
Helping our employees grow in their professions is an important part of our company mission. That’s why we offer tuition reimbursement for full-time team members, as well as conference/seminar and training opportunities. We also encourage and recognize employee excellence through our Milestone Appreciation dinners, Team Spirit Award and the GEM Award. Plus, residents of the community also present monetary awards from their Employee Appreciation Fund and sponsor an Employee Scholarship Program as a way to give back to those who help make their lives better each day.
We know how important your life outside of work is to you—your family, your loved ones, your own personal well-being. At Friendship Village, we provide employees a free membership to our Fitness and Aquatic Center and access to professional mental health counseling.

From the moment I stepped foot on the Friendship Village campus, I knew it was the place for me. Now, 5 years later, I cannot imagine working anywhere else. My boss is amazing and helpful, my coworkers are team players and fun to work with, and, most importantly, the residents make my job enjoyable. I feel very fortunate to have this job and I plan on staying here long term.

I have been with Friendship Village over 7 years. I started in Environmental Services and then was a CNA for 2 ½ years. Then I transitioned to Maintenance. Not only have I grown in the company, but I have grown my education through the resident-sponsored tuition program.

Twisting and turning, my path always seems to be changing. The most positive change career-wise I have experienced was being hired as the Life Enrichment Coordinator. I was welcomed with open arms and encouraged by the residents and staff. I’m excited and grateful to see where this adventure leads me!

My career has grown since starting at Friendship Village. I began as the receptionist and within one year progressed to the Facility Services Coordinator. Knowing that the services the Home Health office provides can make a difference in someone being able to remain in their independent living home longer is extremely satisfying. Interacting with residents on an individual basis always brightens my day!
