Our Wellness Navigator will guide you to all the fitness opportunities we have to offer, including the classes and programs at our Fitness and Aquatic Center.

I love the fitness classes at Friendship Village where the music lifts my spirits as well as my limbs and much more. There is joy in sharing and exercising with others. Thank you for making exercise so enjoyable and helping to keep ourselves healthy.

It’s not hard to explain why there are so many smiling faces at the Fitness & Aquatic Center. Isn’t that where pain, sweat and sore muscles are born? Happily, not at our Fitness & Aquatic Center, where our manager, Alecia, holds court.
Contrary to the sweat shop image, many more residents at FVK are using the Fitness & Aquatic Center than ever before. It’s become a place where muscles and ligaments are being strengthened resulting in greater mobility and fewer falls. Exercise designed for your special needs can be prescribed by Alecia.
Appropriate exercise has the potential to do more for us than pills. It’s nature’s way of healing. I’ve experienced that myself. It’s fun too. Come join us.

I moved to Friendship Village regretting my ongoing dependence on a walker. After eight months of living here, having become a regular user of the fitness machines, attending stretch and strength group classes, and regularly walking our dog on the paved pathways surrounding the Village and its nearby woods, I’ve actually been able to ditch my walker and, though slowly, feel myself gaining additional strength.
I’ve also come to recognize the fitness program’s social function. The group classes connect me with an ever larger group of exercisers. We just like coming together, grabbing our weights, finding a chair, and chattering with our neighbors. I couldn’t ask for more!
